Everybody understands what e-learning is, do not they? Well, in our experience, they really do not. The trouble is that when individuals discuss 'e-learning', or online learning, they are typically thinking of or visualising the material they see on their display.
That's no more 'learning' than if they were holding a book in their hands, even if they were reading it. So, although certainly crucial, content alone is not 'learning'. Genuine e-learning includes content, for sure, but equal focus, if not even more, need to be provided to the procedure and support to provide a real learning experience.
